8/31/22 – This is a rare International Harvester M1 Garand variation referred to as a “gap letter” due to the alignment of the receiver markings. There were only ~37,000 of this variation produced, compared to 330,000 in total by IHC. This one has an SA barrel that’s dated to November of 1954, which is correct as Springfield made barrels for IHC at this time. Very nice stock with a P on the wrist, and minor wear on the left side. Excellent bore with muzzle and TE readings of 1. Unfortunately, the receiver does show some pitting throughout and then was later parkerized over.
