12/23/20 – This is a fantastic example of a rare Type 99 sniper rifle as produced at the Nagoya Arsenal in 1943. There were only an estimated 7,000 Type 99 snipers produced at Nagoya with the 4x scope. The rifle has all matching numbers, including the receiver, bayonet lug, firing pin and safety. Fantastic bluing all around, though the mum has been ground. Scope is not numbered to the gun but the optics are crystal clear. Stock is in excellent condition and without major defect. Strong, shiny bore. Scope has a reproduction rubber eye cap. All together, a very rare gun and difficult to find in this condition.
