4/22/22 – Excellent condition. This is a scarce, International Harvester (IHC) Postage Stamp M1 Garand, O-66 Navy Award Rifle. In the same condition as it was when it was prepared for presentation by the U.S. Marine Corp. armorers. The grease pencil marks are still visible on the op rod, stock and magazine base. All numbered “792”. O-66 on top of receiver. These rifles were rebuilt by USMC armorers and then shipped to Crane Depot, and later shipped out as award or trophy rifles. This M1 was prepared for presentation by the U.S. Marine Corp armorers at the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Crane IN. Includes original shipping document from Crane Depot as SECNAV Award rifle from Sept. 1999. Beautiful rifle with a smooth action and excellent bore with strong rifling. Comes with a reproduction canvas carry case.
