2/22/23 – This is an excellent example of a rare Kommer Model 4 with Eagle/N proofs on the slide, frame and chamber. From 1936-1940, Kommer manufactured a few thousand of the model 4 in 7.65mm. It is modeled very similarly to the FN Model 1910, but has the grip safety ommitted. The Kommer factory was in Zella-Mehlis where other small arms factories were located, most notable being the Walther factory. This one is all matching and has “Eagle N” proofs, indicating it was made in 1940. The gun has retained about 95-96% of its original high polish finish. There is minor wear along the high edges of the slide, and a spot of finish loss on the trigger guard and bottom of the front strap. Comes with very nice period-correct black bakelite grips. Excellent bore. Comes with a 1941 dated holster that is marked ‘jba’.
