11/8/24 – This is a rare DWM Luger with A.F. Stoeger retailer marking on the receiver. The firm of A.F. Stoeger Inc became the sole importer of DWM Luger pistols in the United States in 1922. The order was for only 2,500 pistols, and their configuration varied. This one is all matching, “Crown N” proofed, has the Stoeger marking on the right side of the slide, and is chambered in .30 Luger. It has retained about 97% of its finish with just minor general high edge wear and some dulling on the grip straps. Fitted with minty un-numbered wood grips. Comes with an un-numbered magazine – crack in the wood bottom. The rifling in the bore is fairly worn with light pin-pricking throughout.
