8/16/24 – This is an excellent example of a Krieghoff Luger issued to the Luftwaffe in 1937. The gun is all matching and has the proper “Eagle L2” Krieghoff proofs throughout. It has retained about 97% of its bluing. While there is very little actual finish loss, there are some tiny handling marks / scratches on the front strap and left side of the frame. Minor muzzle wear. Much of the straw colored finish is intact on the small parts, and the magazine release button has a beautiful fire-blued finish. Comes with excellent and correct reddish bakelite Krieghoff grips and a Krieghoff magazine that is not matching but close. The bore has great rifling with some minor frosting in the grooves. Tiny amount of white paint on the front sight. Small import mark on the underside of the frame. Robert Saltsman collection.
