11/14/23 – This is a fairly uncommon late WW2 production holster for a P.38 or High Power pistol. The holster is made from ersatz material, with the closure strap being the only leather found on this example. Most ersatz holsters from WW2 are for 7.65mm pistols, so a larger sized holster like this is rare. There are no markings or stamps, and the ersatz material is cracking on the sides near the rounded top of the holster (shown in photos). The magazine pouch fits a P.38 magazine or a High Power magazine, although the high power magazine is extremely snug. So most likely this was meant for a P.38. No notable stitching issues.
