12/18/23 – This is an original, early Luger production “Ideal” Luger Grips and Stock. These were made in the early 1900’s (1904 was the first year of production) and uses the special grip design with metal locking surfaces to attach and detach the metal-framed stock. There are very few examples in existence today as these grips and stocks were not commercially viable, or at least too expensive to become popular. These are highly collectible in today’s market as a result. This example is functional and complete with both grips and stock. The metal on the stock has dark brown patina and natural aging throughout but no rust or pitting. The leather body is in great shape with normal surface wrinkling and mild cracking but no major issues.
