4/11/23 – This is a nice example of a rare Walther Mod P.38 sold in the commercial market during WW2. This one is all matching and has the proper “Eagle N” proofs. This gun is rare as only 1,800 were produced. Interestingly enough, this one has a “Waffen 76” marked Czech fnh barrel. It has retained roughly 70% of its original finish with general thinning throughout. The majority of the finish loss is on the front strap. There is some spotty discoloration on the top of the barrel and at the front left of the slide. There is a common casting flaw at the base of the front strap. Excellent blackish-brown bakelite grips. Comes with an un-proofed “P.38v” magazine. Mint bore. De-cocker is functional.
