4/8/22 – This is a rare Colt M1911 that was issued to the U.S. Navy in 1913. There were only about 16,000 Navy-issued 1911s from 1912-18, and only 6,000 in 1913. Unfortunately, this one was re-worked at some point, though it doesn’t have any arsenal markings. It has the Navy frame but an Army slide from later in the war and the finish was parkerized. It also has a Hi Standard replacement barrel with excellent bore. Period wood grips show smoothing and handling wear. Unmarked magazine.
