12/10/21 – This is a very rare and highly desirable Colt M1911A1 that was made in 1942 and issued to the U.S. Navy. It’s one of only 3,982 ordered by the Navy in 1942, and part of the last batch of 1911A1s ordered by them. It’s all original with matching slide and frame. The parkerized finish rates at 96-97% with a little bit of muzzle wear and a little more on the front edges of the frame. Proper W.B. inspectors mark with P proofs on slide and frame. Excellent grips with crisp checkering. Bore is shiny with strong rifling but does have a tiny bit of freckling in the grooves. Risdon magazine.
