3/17/23 – This is an original and seldom seen canvas magazine pouch for a Snail Drum Luger magazine from WW1. The canvas pouch is in excellent condition with some mild sun staining on the front of the canvas. You can tell when you open the pouch, as the underlying canvas (and the backside canvas) is a much darker color. The canvas is excellent with minimal staining otherwise, and all original excellent stitching throughout. The interior is ink stamped with “BA X 1918” for the Bavarian Tenth Corps Clothing Supply Depot, and the date. The leather closure straps are excellent and original as well.
