3/16/21 – This is a rare Bren Mk3 that was rebuilt in semi-auto from a matching parts kit by Historic Arms. Our consignor was the only previous owner of this piece and never fired it. It has all matching numbers throughout, including buttplate, receiver, barrel, and more. Fantastic finish with no wear. The bore has strong rifling but does need a through cleaning and has some frost throughout as the kit was built using a vintage barrel. The Bren Mk3 was a shorter and lighter Bren made by Enfield from 1944 for the war in the East and for Airborne Forces. This was similar to the Mk2 but with the light weight features of the early Mk1. With the main distinguishing feature being a shorter barrel and serrated area in front of the barrel nut. This example still has the original grease from Historic Arms lining it. Can’t currently find another example online, especially in this condition.
