11/30/21 – DWM produced only approximately 5,000 of these pistols for military sales to Brazil. Most examples exhibit heavy use and wear due to the high humidity in South America. These pistols were serial numbered approximately 1 to 5000. These pistols were all produced on the old 1906 style frame with the grip safety, polished lower safety area and no stock lug. They have a blank chamber area with the “DWM” logo on the rear toggle and the only proofmarks on the entire pistol is a small circled “B” proof on the left side of the barrel extension. This example is all matching, but may have been arsenal refurbished, as evidenced by the blued safety lever which should be strawed. There isn’t much actual finish loss, but there is oxidation and minor pitting on the whole gun. Comes with slightly worn period-correct wood grips and a blank wood-bottom magazine. The bore has good rifling with some areas of minor pitting and oxidation.
