7/14/23 – This is an original, rare variation Erma ayf 43 LP34 Flare Pistol. The flare pistol is a later wartime example made from zinc alloy as the Germans were saving materials and testing other metals for production. Only around 12,800 zinc LP34 flare pistols were produced by Erma and Berlin Lubecker. This example is in great condition with bare zinc metal throughout the frame and barrel. There’s some mild machine marks and light discoloration throughout, but no corrosion or notable spots of wear. The small parts (trigger, trigger guard, release lever, and hammer) have been blued and are in excellent condition with very clean finish throughout. Original grips have no cracks or chips and a strong exterior diamond pattern. Mechanically sound with smooth functioning parts. The bore is in great condition with mild signs of use wear and aging.
