3/3/22 – This is a nice example of a rare Walther PPK-L manufactured in 1967 in West Germany. These PPK-L’s were made with a lightweight duraluminum frame, and this particular piece is chambered in .22 LR. As the vast majority were made with steel frames, this is a rare gun. There are no import marks, but there is a “Made in West-Germany” marking on the left side of the frame. It has the proper West German “Eagle N” proofs throughout. It comes as a rig with an excellent post-WW2 black leather holster and one proper .22 caliber magazine. The gun has retained roughly 80% of its finish. Most of the finish loss comes in the form of splotchy wear on both sides of the slide. There is an area of oxidation and minor pitting near the muzzle on the right side of the slide. There is also some wear on the tang and some light handling marks on the front strap. Comes with excellent period-correct brown plastic grips. The bore is mint.
