06/17/2024 – For sale is a rare Podolsk SVT-40 produced in 1941 for the Red Army but captured by Finland during the Continuation War. Podolsk is one of the rarer manufacturers with less than 8% of total production made by them. (111,659 of 1,486,645 total production). The rifle is in good condition overall surviving the war. The stock has been sanded and refinished sometime in the past. The metal retains a lot of its original bluing but many spots of heavy wear. The receiver is stamped [SA] for Finnish Army Property. The rifle has matching serial numbers on the receiver and bolt. The stock serial number is not visible and the magazine is not matching. The bore is bright with good rifling but the lands become more worn towards the muzzle. There are cracks on the wrist of the stock at the top and bottom that look like they were sealed by a prior owner.
