3/14/23 – This is an original and rare variation Luger holster from 1927. There are very few holsters made and offered today from the 1920s as Germany was not allowed to have a military. Simson was one of the only manufacturers for Lugers during this time, and not many were made. This holster is a great example as it has a crisp, clear maker and date stamp on the interior leather. There’s also a Weimar eagle proof stamp, indicating this was one of the very few holsters allowed to be issued to police or military guard of some sort. Also interesting, this holster has a K-Date style interior cleaning rod and tool pouch. The leather is in great condition despite some surface scratches near the closure strap on the front lid. The rest of the leather has mild pliability and no major issues. All original stitching intact as well and a fairly clean interior leather.
