3/22/23 – This is a prewar FN Browning High Power with tangent rear sight, slotted frame and a stock/holster combo. The pistol is matching with original blue that rates at about 70%. There’s finish loss on most of the high edges, and pronounced wear/patina on the front strap. Early Belgian proofs throughout, but oddly there is a ‘135 / WaA’ stamp on the frame that we haven’t seen before. It is presumably not a real waffenamt, but also a strange way to possibly fake one. Proper prewar grips with painted red backs. The grips don’t have any cracks but it does appear some initials are scratched in the left panel. Bore has decent rifling but some frost and freckling throughout. The stock holster is unmarked but has seemingly the same initials scratched in as the left grip does. It’s otherwise unmarked, and the metal parts appear to be re-blued.
