10/5/23 – This is an excellent example of a pre-WW2 S&W Model 10. There are minor scratches along both sides of the barrel and frame, with finish loss on the edges of the trigger guard—overall finish rates around 85-90%. British-proof marks are on the barrel, chamber, cylinder, and frame; they are likely added upon import or added after military use in the UK. Cylinder lock-up is tight and indexes correctly when the hammer is cocked. Cylinder and frame have matching serial numbers. The bore is very clean and rates a solid 9/10 with slight wear on the rifling. Fitted with nice brown checkered grips.
