8/27/24 – This is a great example of a Soldatenbund visor cap. An early German Veteran’s association, the Soldatenbund was founded prior to WW2 in 1936 and existed until 1938 when they were merged with the more commonly know Kyffshäuserbund. This was part of the effort to standardize the Veteran’s associations and to more closely align them with the NSDAP (Nazi Party). This visor cap is in great condition with no moth bites to the dark blue fabric, there are a few nicks to the white piping, but the piping remains intact. This visor cap does have a small tear in the internal liner. The stamp inside the cap remains intact, as well as the sweatband.
