1/2/24 – This is a WW1 era Artillery Luger holster that was later modified (either at the end of WW1 or post-WW1 Weimar era) for use by the Police. This is indicated by the extra holes where stitching was on the back leather and side leather, below the magazine pouch. The holster would have been shortened and re-stitched for use with Police Lugers. The belt loops currently present on the holster were added at this time of modification as well. The back leather shows a unit marking and number. The interior leather has a WW1 era maker and date stamp, likely from when this was part of an Artillery Luger holster. The leather is soft and pliable, with normal wear throughout. Priced according to condition. An interesting example which helps show how the Germans adjusted post-WW1.
