4/19/23 – This is an original Luftwaffe Gravity Knife from WW2. The blade is maker stamped by Paul Weyersberg on one side. There’s some mild surface scratching along the edge of the blade from use and evidence of mild sharpening. The spine of the blade has a few dings, indicating this was used to hammer something down at some point. The metal mouth / top of the handle has similar, small surface dings in the metal from previous use. The release lever is matching numbered to the side bar “20”, and is fully functional with smooth action. The blade releases and falls with no issue. The wood is excellent with some small imperfections near the base / lanyard loop area. The interior of the handle is numbered “921” and mismatching to the side lever. Luftwaffe proof stamped on the base of the fold-out pick piece.
