12/19/22 – This is an excellent example of a Remington Rand Model 1911A1 manufactured in 1943. We’re calling this an “oddball” gun, because there is a serial number, and it “United States Property” marked, but it has no proof stamps of any kind. Interesting gun. It has a Flannery barrel (which could be correct for this date), but it has been parkerized. The gun itself has retained about 97% of its original parkerized finish. There is just very minor wear on the high edges of the slide. While there is very little actual finish loss, there is some light spotty oxidation on the left side of the slide and frame. Fitted with an excellent set of reddish plastic grips and comes with a reproduction magazine. The bore is like-new.
