3/2/23 – This is an original SS Dagger with Ground Rohm inscription on the blade. The dagger is also numbered and documented to SS Officer Helmut Reich. The documentation comes from the Militaria Research Services, conducted in 2001 by Robert McDivitt. The Officer received a number of awards, as shown / indicated in photos. The dagger features solid nickel cross guard that’s district stamped for Munich. There’s also evidence of hand-finishing on the grooves, which is an early production feature. The handle has no notable cracks or chips but there’s some high edge fading of the black finish and normal aging surface wear. The fittings have a very minor wiggle on the blade. The blade is in good condition with the Rohm inscription fully ground. The Eickhorn maker marking is located close to the base of the blade, which is indicative of this dagger having been Rohm inscribed. There’s light surface patina throughout the blade as shown. The scabbard is excellent with a black painted finish and an original DRGM stamped hanger attached. The toe of the scabbard is dented, but this is minor. Overall a highly collectible example of a documented SS dagger.
