11/2/23 – This is an early WW2 production NSKK Dagger in very good condition. The dagger has early war nickel fittings and is Gruppe stamped “Sw” on one side of the lower crossguard. The wood handle has an original SA emblem and nazi eagle on one side. The wood has natural patina and a faded finish throughout, with most of the original black coloring worn away. The scabbard shows similar wear to what was once a black anodized color. The scabbard metal is slightly dented and cracked along one edge, near the toe or tip of the scabbard. The dagger blade is fairly clean with visible cross-graining throughout and clear markings. There’s some mild surface speckling and rub wear / light scratches. The edge is unsharpened but shows a few small nicks and dings throughout. A nice example with some honest wear and aging as shown.
