2/8/23 – This is a rare and extremely early New Model Mauser HSc in the original box. It comes as one half of a duo that will also be listed concurrently on the site, but these are the earliest examples we could find of the New Model HSc. Both pistols are serial number 8, one in .32 and the other in .380 ACP. They are so early, that they defy that factory numbering rules that Mauser show in their records. Records state that the format for number 8 should read as 01.1008 but a few of the earliest examples were instead marked as ‘01.0000__’. This one has just a hint of box wear on the front strap but is otherwise in nearly unused condition. It comes with the matching numbered box, test target, a manual, spare mag and the plastic insert. The production of the New Model began in late ’68 and this one is also ’68 dated.
