10/11/22 – This is a nice example of a Spreewerk P.38 issued to the Nazi military in October of 1943. It is all matching and has the proper “Eagle 88” Nazi military acceptance proofs throughout. There is a “33” marking on the right side of the frame – we’re not sure of the meaning. We believe the gun has been refinished. It has retained about 90% of its new bluing. There are areas of wear and pin-pricking on the whole right side of the slide, around the muzzle, on the left side of the barrel, and on the front edge of the left side of the slide. Comes with excellent period-correct reddish bakelite grips and one period-correct jvd magazine. The bore has strong rifling, but there are areas of spotty oxidation throughout. De-cocker is functional.
