08/20/2024 – For sale is a Walther Model HP made for the commercial market during WW2. This pistol was pulled from the commercial market and diverted to the military for the war effort. This pistol then looks to have been reworked and refinished for East German use. The finish has many spots of wear especially along the edges. The front strap of the grip has many spots of oxidation. The pistol is nearly matching but the locking block is mismatched. There is an Eagle/359 stamped on the right side of the frame. The serial number is e-penciled onto the slide which was likely done by the East Germans. The bore is bright but there are small prickling of pitting visible. The Decocker doesn’t work, but safety works when the hammer is down.
