6/8/21 – This is a nice example of a Beretta Model 1934 manufactured in 1943. It has a blank slide legend and a “G” prefix serial number. According to Jan Still’s “Axis Pistols” these pistols were manufactured for issue to the Italian or Nazi Armies. This one lacks a Royal Italian proof, so was likely issued to the Nazi military. There is a Nazi test proof on the tang, but we don’t believe this is original. It has retained roughly 75% of its high polish finish. Most of the wear is on the straps, where there is also spotty oxidation and freckling. There is also minor wear on the high edges of the slide and around the muzzle. Comes with very nice grips and a correct magazine. Missing lanyard ring. Excellent bore – shiny with strong rifling.
