5/26/22 – This is a nice example of a 1934 Mauser that was issued to the German Army. This gun would have been produced just before the factory switched over to HSC production, around 1940 or so. It is Eagle/N proofed which helps to determine the date. It is also Nazi test proofed on the back left side of the frame and Eagle/655 proofed, indicating it was issued to the German Army. These guns are fairly rare with an estimate of only ~8,000 procured by the army. It is all matching and has retained about 94% of its original high polish finish. There are areas of wear around the muzzle, on the underside of the trigger guard, at the back right of the slide, and at the base of the front strap. An area of light spotty wear on the right side of the slide. Comes with a slightly worn period-correct wood grip – some very light chipping along some of the edges. Also comes with a period-correct magazine. The bore has strong rifling with minor freckling throughout.
