11/30/21 – This is an excellent example of a DWM / Simson reworked Luger. The frame was made by DWM, likely in the 1920’s. The toggle was replaced with a Simson toggle. The slide has a “Crown N” commercial firing proof. The barrel was replaced with a 5.25″ Navy-style barrel. The trigger and firing pin are numbered and matching. All other parts are un-numbered. The gun has retained about 97% of its finish. There are just hints of wear on the side plate, side rails, around the muzzle, and around the stock lug. While there is very little actual finish loss, there is light brown patina covering the gun. Comes with excellent un-numbered wood grips (some light bruising on the left panel) and a period-correct un-numbered wood bottom magazine. The bore is mint.
