10/29/20 – This is a very nice example of an Italian Beretta Model 1935 manufactured in 1942. It has a stylized “CM” proof on the tang. From research, this would indicate it was issued to the Italian Navy before the Nazi control of the factory. This particular gun has a serial number that is consistent with other Navy-issue M1935’s. It has retained about 93-94% of its original bluing. There is muzzle wear and wear along the high edges. There is spotty wear on the right side of the slide and a more noticeable area at the back of the slide. There is one spot of wear on the left side of the frame. There are handling marks and spotty wear on the straps and underside of the trigger guard. It comes with nice period-correct grips and one period-correct magazine. The bore has decent rifling, but there is minor pitting throughout.
