1/7/22 – This is an excellent example of an early Nambu Type 14 issued to the Japanese military in January of 1935. The gun is all matching and has early features, such as the small trigger guard and straw small parts. Comes with a proper early nickel-tube magazine that is mismatched. The gun has retained about 98% of its original finish with minor wear on the underside of the barrel near the muzzle and on the underside of the trigger guard. While there is very little actual finish loss, there is spotty oxidation throughout and some pitting on the chamber and around the rear sight. Comes with nice period-correct wood grips – the left panel is numbered, but we can’t make out the number. Mint bore.
