2/27/23 – This is an early variation Type 30 bayonet by Nagoya Arsenal. The bayonet features an early bright fullered blade and hooked crossguard. The blade has some light surface oxidation and spotty discoloration. The top 1/3 of the edge has been sharpened. The cross guard is missing most of the original finish but has no rust or pitting and some mild surface patina. The wood grips are excellent and feature two screws with oval washers. The bird’s head pommel has surface patina throughout. Comes with a ball-tipped metal scabbard that has dark surface patina throughout, but no dents.
