11/11/22 – This is a unique, one of a kind book that was prepared by the Italians under Mussolini for presentation to Hitler during his visit in 1938. The book is titled “Journey to Italy” and is written entirely in German. The interior cover page indicates that this book was published for the occasion of Adolf Hitler’s visit to Italy. The book is 100 pages covering Italian art, culture, and history in various regions. There’s both black-and-white and color images. All pages are yellowed with natural aging and are completely intact with the original binding still holding all pages. There’s some mild tattering along the edges of the cover. Measures 12.5 x 16 x 1 inches. Also included is a photocopy of an original image of a similar sized book being presented to Hitler during his visit to Italy. It’s likely that this is the book shown in the image.
