11/4/24 – This is a great example of a WW2 production K98 Rifle bayonet. The blade is 1944 dated and the scabbard is 1943 dated. The blade is blued and in great condition with normal bluing loss due to scabbard use, but no major rust or signs of sharpening. The blade is serial numbered “1373c” and the reverse side is 44 dated with an “fnj” maker code. The handle has light surface patina and discoloration on the metal parts and the handle has waffen WaA518 acceptance stamps. The scabbard is 43 dated with a “cof” maker code and serial numbered “7369n” on the reverse side. The scabbard has patina and discoloration throughout.
