5/24/22 – This is a minty example of a Winchester M1 Carbine issued to the US military in about 1943. The gun has been completely arsenal reworked and refurbished, as evidenced by the “RIA” Rock Island Arsenal rework stamp on the left side of the butt stock. A bayonet lug and adjustable rear sight were added, likely for re-issue in the Korean War. There is almost no actual finish loss, but there is some pin-pricking under the finish along the barrel. Minty wood stock marked “P-J”. Comes with a period-correct magazine and a green canvas sling. Minty bore. Small surface crack on the top of the wrist of the stock.
