12/9/21 – This is a minty example of a Smith & Wesson Victory revolver issued to the US military during WW2. It is all correct, “United States Property” marked, has a military flaming bomb proof, and has the correct “GHD” inspection initials on the top of the left side of the frame. The gun has retained about 97-98% of its original parkerized finish. The hammer and trigger still have most of their original case-hardened finish. Most of the wear is around the muzzle, where there are also some light scratches. On the cylinder, there are hints of wear on the high edges and a light roll mark. While there is very little actual finish loss, there are tiny dots of oxidation and light surface scuffs throughout. The cylinder is tight, and the action is smooth. Lanyard loop is intact. Comes with excellent wood grips – the right panel is numbered on the inside, but it is illegible. The bore is mint.
