3/27/17 – This is an absolutely beautiful and hard to find Colt Woodsman Match Target, 1st Bullseye Series. The serial number dates this pistol to somewhere in the middle of 1939, before the United States joined the fight abroad. Between 1938 and 1944, only about 15,000 of these were produced, and it would be very difficutl to find one that has been maintained as well as the one we have listed here. The finish is a genuine 99+%, with just the slightest amount of freckling on the right side behind the grips. The “Elephant Ear” grips are also rare and minty, with no chips or scratches, which are common given the way the ears extend beyond the frame. Rare and original two-tone magazine,. Mirror bore.
