11/29/21 – This is a minty example of a Remington Rand Model 1911A1 issued to the US military in late 1942 – early 1943. The gun is “United States Property” marked, has the proper “FJA” inspector initials, and has the correct cross-canon military cartouche. It also has an “SA” marking on the right side of the frame, indicating the gun was reworked at the Springfield Arsenal. High Standard Barrel. The gun has retained about 98% of its parkerized finish. There are just hints of wear on some of the high edges and a few very small handling marks on the front strap. Comes with excellent plastic grips and a period-correct “R” marked magazine. The bore is mint.
