9/13/23 – This is minty Finnish Mosin Nagant M39, manufactured in 1944 and chambered in 7.62x54mmR. The M39 was an improvement over the other Finnish Mosin predecessors, and they are considered to be the finest and most accurate Mosin Nagant rifles ever made. This example features a rare and desirable SK.Y barrel, one of only 10,500 produced. At the time of import, this M39 was considered the highest serial number to exist in a 1944 M39. Even less commonly, this rifle has a matching mint SK.Y marked war time stock, and a proof hang tag. The metal has retained virtually all its finish, but there are minor signs of oxidation on both sides of the receiver, and one tiny spot of wear on the right side of the front sight. The rest of the metal is immaculate, and the wood furniture is also in pristine condition. Bore is absolutely stone mint.
