9/17/21 – This is a near-mint example of a very early Walther PP that was issued to the Third Reich Banking system in 1930. The gun is all matching and has the proper “Crown N” proofs. It also comes with a near-matching bank-numbered finger extension magazine. The slide has the proper panographed numbering that is a characteristic unique to the bank-issued guns. This particular gun is also in the proper serial range for a bank-issued gun and has early features such as a 90-degree safety lever and an extended barrel. It is in beautiful, near-mint condition, retaining about 98% of its original finish. There is just a hint of wear around the muzzle and very minor wear at the base of the back strap. The gun comes with nice proper early weighted grips – there is some separation on the left side from contraction of the metal insert. The bore is mint.
