10/6/23 – This is a minty Walther P.38 manufactured in August of 1957. It was manufactured before the designation of this design was changed to P1. This particular gun has no commercial proofs, but instead has German Government proofs on the frame and slide. It was issued to the German Bundeswehr. The Bundeswehr are the unified armed forces of Germany and their civil administration and procurement authorities. The gun is all matching and comes with a parkerized “P.38”-marked magazine that has been NATO numbered. The magazine is dated 5/61. The gun has retained nearly all of its finish, just some very minor freckling here and there and some handling marks on the slide. Mint bore. Comes with a very good set of black plastic grips which are similar in style to Mod. HP and early zero series variations. Import mark on the right side of the slide. De-cocker is functional. Comes with a Walther P.38 box which is not serialized.
