12/9/22 – This is an excellent example of an Astra 600, manufactured in 1943. Guns in this serial range (10501 – 38500) were manufactured for the Nazi army but were never delivered due to the Allied invasion. This is often to as the “second” Nazi contract. No waffen proofs (correct). This one is all matching and comes in a really nice custom-made wood presentation case and two magazines. One of the magazines is numbered to match the gun, indicating it was likely issued to a police force after WW2. It has retained about 98% of its original finish with one small spot of wear on the front strap and very minor wear around the muzzle and some of the high edges. Fitted with very nice period-correct wood grips – a noticeable bruise on the right side. Minty bore.
