12/20/22 – This is a near-mint example of a Walther PP, chambered in 7.65mm and most likely manufactured in the late 1970’s. It has a Walther slide legend but has French St. Etienne proofs on the right side of the barrel and slide. Interarms marking on the right side of the frame. The very bottom of the left grip panel says “Made in Germany. There is a circular machine marking on the left side of the frame. Our best guess is that there was a police or military marking there that was milled away. The gun comes with two Manurhin finger extension magazines and a box that is hand-numbered to match the gun. The pistol itself has retained nearly all of its finish. There is obviously finish loss where it was milled and just some very light spotty discoloration on the left side of the slide. Mint bore.
