3/20/23 – This is a near-mint example of a Smith & Wesson M&P 38 revolver, chambered in .38 Special. The serial number dates it to about 1948. It comes with its original matching-numbered box (the numbering is very faint) and an owners manual. The gun itself has retained nearly all of its high polish finish with just a faint roll mark on the cylinder and some small dots of oxidation with tiny pits here and there. Very nice hand-checkered Walnut grips. The bore is shiny with strong rifling and just a few small spots of light oxidation. The cylinder is tight, and the action is smooth.
