5/5/22 – This is near-mint example of a Springfield M1 Garand issued to the US military in 1945. The receiver dates to June of 1945 and the barrel is dated May of 1945. It also has the proper cross canon cartouche and “SA” inspection stamp on the left side of the stock. The gun has retained all of its finish with some very light scratchy wear on the barrel and gas tube and a few spots of minor discoloration on the receiver. The stock is in mint condition but has been sanded. The bore is in near-mint condition. Throat reading: 0. Muzzle reading: 1. Comes with a period-correct green canvas sling.
