3/8/21 – This is a minty example of a Springfield M1 Garand issued to the US military in 1944. The barrel is dated 1944. The metal parts in are minty condition. There is minor wear on the high edges of the op rod, minor spotty discoloration on the receiver, and minor handling marks on the barrel. The stock looks mint but was likely sanded. The inspection stamp and cartouche are very crisp and may have been reapplied – can’t say for sure. Comes with a nice canvas sling. The bore is excellent – shiny with strong rifling.
