5/29/20 – This is a near-mint Nazi K98 bayonet from 1944 with ‘fnj’ maker mark and WaA519 proofs. The bayonet and scabbard are matching numbers (9167e). The bayonet blade almost is in mint condition with only a very small amount of finish loss closer to the point. There is light patina and surface wear throughout the pommel and upper area of the handle. The scabbard has a black leather frog that is ‘gfg’ maker marked and 1942 dated. Scabbard finish shows some wear but no major defect, and tip is waffen stamped.
